With the approach of Thanksgiving 2012, we asked this group of Teen Challenge of Greater Cleveland students to complete the thought, “I am thankful...”
Here are some of the things they wrote:
“I am thankful for God’s mercy and grace, for family, for the breath of life, for food, clothing and shelter, for Teen Challenge, and for Jesus dying on the cross for my sin. God gave His Best for a worm like me. I’m so grateful for Him extending His mercy one more time towards
me! ” – Terry B.
“I am thankful to God that He brought me out of my trouble and brought me here to learn about the Bible and about Jesus.” – Bhavin P.
“I am thankful that I have my relationship with Christ back strong...I have been set free from sin and death, I am growing every day in the knowledge of Christ, and I am getting the chance to share the Gospel with new students. I am thankful today that I no longer live in the shadow of shame.” – Wade L.
“I am thankful for Life, the restoration of life Jesus has given me here on earth, and the promise of life everlasting. Life has meaning and a purpose now, and a promise. Thanks be to my Savior for rescuing me from my life of death.” – David P.
“I am thankful...for being alive, for being here at Teen Challenge, for being a child of God, for the brothers that I am fellow-shipping with, the freedom of our country, that I am still loved, for having another chance to live righteous, that God is taking care of my needs daily...that Brother Murray and the rest of the staff here are so helpful in God’s Word,...being able to help others,... being forgiven of my sinful past.” – Tom D.
“I am thankful for God not giving up on me, for keeping me fed, clothed and sheltered. I am thankful for the many times the enemy has tried to take my life and the Lord didn’t allow it.” – Nathan N.

“I am thankful for being here. I am thankful that I have another chance with God, to get to know Him. I am thankful that I am not dead.” – Patrick Crafton
